Acadia Parish currently has about $1.6 million in “credit” through the state’s “right-sizing” program.
The Acadia Parish Police Jury will consider adoption of a $38.9 million budget when it meets on Monday, Dec. 13.

Acadia Parish 4-H’ers and LSU AgCenter staffers were on hand for Tuesday night’s meeting of the Police Jury to update the jurors on their activities and to thank the police jury for its continued support of 4-H projects across the parish. If everything remains on course, the blighted building at 1318 W. Second St. — formerly Ed’s Lounge — should be gone by Thanksgiving.
Staffing at the Rice Arena is expected to be on the agenda when the Acadia Parish Police Jury meets in regular session Tuesday night.
