CROWLEY - Last weekend the International Rice Festival hosted its annual Honoree Social and Queen’s Ball at the International Rice Festival Building in Crowley.

Victoria Marie Callahan, the daughter of Michael Callahan and Angela Callahan, was crowned the 82nd International Rice Festival Queen Saturday morning.

Although the weather called for a change of venue from the Supreme Rice Soundstage to the Rice Theatre, there was a large crowd on hand for the International Rice Festival Queen’s Pageant.

Superintendent Scott Richard and wife Mary crowned the 2018 Junior Rice Festival King and Queen during ceremonies on the Supreme Rice Sound Stage Friday morning. The new queen is Blair Wallace from Egan Elementary. The new king is Daxton Broussard of St. Francis Elementary.
