Three-Ten studies war technology

Members of the Three-Ten Club held their February meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Crowley home of Brucie Landry.
Co-hosting with Landry were Flo Faulk and Lisa McNeely. President Sandy Melancon presided.
Various committee reports were provided by Mary Beth Geesey, Suzanne Gray, Faulk and Carolyn Barousse.
Faulk gave an interesting PowerPoint presentation entitled “Defending Our Freedoms – Courage in the Face of War.” Beginning with the French and Indian War and concluding with the United States’ current involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, Faulk compared and contrasted the types of weapons used, number of casualties and costs in today’s dollars.
Club members then enjoyed fellowship and delicious refreshments.
In addition to the those previously mentioned, members on hand for the meeting included Bobbie de la Houssaye, Isabella de la Houssaye, Sissy Gall, Joan Hoffpauer, Flo Jones, Imogene Lacour, Louise Morrow, Gretchen Ohlenforst, Georgie Petitjean, Valerie Trahan, Helen Zaunbrecher and Barbara Geesey (associate member).
