Wolves, Ladies split Teurlings contests

RAYNE - On the backside of the 2018-2019 basketball season, the Wolves and Lady Wolves hosted Teurlings on Friday during district action for both squads.
The boy’s action, the Wolves claimed a 57-43 win over the Rebels, bringing their district slate to 4-2.
Rayne used a strong 22-point fourth quarter to claim the victory.
Led by Leon Smith with 15 points, other Rayne shooters during the contest were Jamarcus Richard and Antonio Cormier with seven each.
The Rayne points were completed by Dylan Gibson and Dylan Menard, each with six points; a trey by Carlos Figaro and Kaleb Colomb and a bucket from Rico Price.
The Wolves will host Carencro High Friday during another district contest.
Friday’s game will also observe “Senior Night” when the team’s senior players will be honored during ceremonies prior to the start of the game.
In girl’s district action, the Lady Wolves fell to Teurlings, 60-27.
High scorer for the Lady Wolves was Torionna Charlot with eight points, followed by Kelsey Kelly with five.
Tyanne Moseley and Paige Figaro each donated four points, while Anatasia Dixon and Braille Washington added a trey.
The Lady Wolves will complete their home contests on Friday when they will host Carencro High.
Friday’s game will also observe “Senior Night” when the team’s five seniors will be honored during ceremonies prior to the start of the game.
