Wolves, Lady Wolves district basketball action

RAYNE - The Rayne High Wolves were handed their first district loss of the 2018-2019 basketball season as they traveled to Carencro.
The Bears pulled out a 74-69 come from behind win over the Wolves during Tuesday evening action.
With the loss, the Wolves now stand at 2-1 in 4-4A action.
Rayne collected two wins in opening 4-4A play over both Teurlings and Northside.
During the Teurlings contest, the Wolves edged the Rebels with a 58-54 win.
During Friday evening action, Rayne High won a 63-61 barn-burner over Northside High.
Dylan Menard led Rayne scores with 17 points for the win over the Vikings.
Leon Smith and Jamarcus Richard each scored 15 points, while Antonio Cormier had a dozen and Dylan Gibson donated nine.
Also during Friday action, the Lady Wolves were in district play scoring a 48-41 win over the Northside Lady Vikings.
The Lady Wolves were led in scoring by B. Washington with a big 20 points.
T. Charlot had 13 points, followed by P. Figaro (6), N. Francis (5) and a trey by K. Kelly.
Both the Wolves and Lady Wolves will be in action on Friday, Jan. 25, as they host Westgate in district play.
Junior varsity boys, girls and varsity boys will all be in action with start time at 5 p.m. for a full night of roundball. Come on out and support Rayne High atheletics.
