Police on the scene after gun battle in Crowley

Crowley Police are currently on the scene following a gun battle that occurred approximately two hours ago near the corner of Western Avenue and 12th Street.
According to Chief Jimmy Broussard, police were alerted to the shooting at about 7:45 p.m. According to witnesses, gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles. Numerous bullet casings were found at the scene.
One man was injured and taken to a regional hospital. His condition is unknown.
Police are in custody of one of the vehicles involved but are searching for the other.
