Church Point pair arrested on charges of growing marijuana
CHURCH POINT - Two individuals from Church Point were recently arrested on several narcotics charges, including the cultivation of marijuana.

CROWLEY - The Iota Police Department is investigating a hit and run involving two vehicles that occurred in the 900 block of South Fifth Street.

Monday’s International Rice Festival Bill Williams & Shel Kanter Blood Drive was a big success, according to Mike Pastor, chairman. “Unofficially, we collected 91 pints of blood,” an admittedly “tickled pink” Pastor said, adding his personal thanks to everyone who participated in this year’s event.
