Evelyn Johnson

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church for Evelyn Johnson, 71, who died Nov. 7, 2019, at Capitol House Rehabilitation Nursing Home.
Services will be conducted by Father Godwin Imoru.
Interment will be in South Crowley Cemetery.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Wyniki Johnson, Wyasha Johnson, Sharla Brown of Lafayette, Wymisha Sinegal (Cordaro) of Eunice, and Kiriakis Brown of Crowley; two sisters, Lou Grant and Verline Damond of Crowley; one sister-in-law, Beatrice Brown of Crowley; three brothers, Irvin Williams of Oakland, California, Wilbert Williams of Houston, Texas, and Hakeem Ali (Aisha) of Crowley; a special cousin, Nola Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Johnson; daughter, Starla Van Johnson; her mother, Louisiana Johnson; father, Joseph S. Scott; and two brothers, Oneil Williams and Alton Williams.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at St. Theresa Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
