James Fredrick Bolyard

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for James Fredrick Bolyard at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce Miller officiating, and under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume on Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, at 7 p.m. in the Kramer Chapel.
Services will continue on Friday, Feb. 24, with visitation at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home at 301 North Avenue F, Crowley, LA 70526 beginning at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Crowley.
James Fredrick Bolyard, 85, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by Fredrick and Allie Bolyard; and his sister, Amy Bolyard Morgan.
James was a graduate of Egan High School. After graduation he entered the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home he attended USL and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. James worked most of his life for Cleco in the Alexandria area. He worked as an Electrical Construction Engineer in building the Teche #3 Power Station in Baldwin, LA; and in the builing of the Cleco Rodemacher Power Plants #1 and #2. James ended his career in 1993 in the Transmission Group where he retired. James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the local Ducks Unlimited Chapter.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Shirley Bolyard of Pineville; one brother, Richard Bolyard of Crowley; and two nephews, Charles Lynn Morgan and his wife Michelle of Egan and Danny Morgan and his wife Nicole of Houston.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Ed Desoto, Steve Gauthier, Gary Mathews, Walter Pastor, Kevin Switzer, and Dennis Westgate. Honorary pallbearers will be George Broussard, Frank Bejsovec, Rodney Tassin, Gerald Fontenot and Rubin Granado.
