Friends and family were on hand recently when Gueydan High School senior and Crowley native Micah Marceaux, seated at center, signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville. Marceaux, an offensive and defensive lineman, is the son of Damon Marceaux of Gueydan and Angela Pringle of West Monroe. His grandparents are Woodrow and Diana Marceaux of Crowley and Patricia Morris of West Monroe.

The Crowley Boxing Club recently competed in the Boxing on Da Bayou show hosted by Uppercutz Boxing in Chalmette. Those participating along with their coaches were, from left, coach Saja Hoffpauir, Ryline Price, Connier George, Byron Scott Jr. and coach Arthur Scott. George was also recently honored as the Outstanding Pee Wee Boxer of the Year at the Southern Association Annual Meeting.
