Smoke pours from a drain along North Parkerson Avenue recently as smoke testing of the city’s sanitary sewer system continues. Crews from Compliance EnviroSystems, LLC, are conducting the tests as part of a Louisiana Community Development Block Grant-funded project to find and repair leaks and upgrade the system. Testing is expected to continue for another three to five weeks, weather permitting
